Juneau

Juneau is the capital of Alaska.  It’s a small town of approximately 32,000 people with two seasons.  During the summer tourism is the primary activity.  In October when the tourism is winding down the legislature begins it’s session.  Most of the people who work in the tourist industry take jobs as aides and other administrators to support the legislature.

Our primary activity in Juneau was whale watching.  On the way back we stopped at Mendenhall Glacier.
