Victoria, B.C.

Our final stop was Victoria, British Columbia, Canada.  Victoria is the capital of British Columbia nicknamed the City of Gardens.

The tourist area of Victoria retains a lot of the history of the area.  The Empress Hotel is one of the major landmarks first encountered off the ship.

One of the highlights of Victoria is the Buchart Gardens approximately 30 minutes outside of town.  The Gardens were created in the remains of a limestone mining operation that provided a lot of the concrete used to build up the infrastructure of the west coast.

The gardens have been maintained for over 100 years and cover several square miles.

The Rose Fountain is constantly moving and changing colors

There are countless pictures of flowers and foliage.  Many of the flowers and larger and more vibrant than even the most beautiful nursery.
